Hey! I just used a paring knife and scored the outline I wanted to scrape into the pumpkin skin (about 1/16″ deep), then slid the knife along under the skin like I was peeling an apple. It took a while but wasn’t technically difficult in any way.
I did this free-hand, inspired by our lawn signs! Go swing state pumpkins!
