The pumpkin was carved more than a year ago, when I would wager a lot of people were spelling his name wrong! But, as part of a field of 8 really impressivly carved candidates, the Obama-lantern received the most comment. Not alot of casual fair-goers at this little hometown fair were political junkies, and fewrecognized Joe, at the time, either – but they do now! Note that Marcia, a maker of bridal gowns, quilts, and sewn art, carved ALL EIGHT – for which the New Gloucester Democratic Committee has never been able to thank her enough, till now. It made our booth the best in the fair.
